I think we must constantly review our goals, dreams, and opinions. We are always growing so why should we be stagnant when it comes to who we are inside. The real person. I was reminded that I must take time out to make sure I’m happy with my inner self after reading Tabatha Coffey’s book, “It’s Not Really About The Hair”. Wonderful read and it was so nice to read statements within the book and feel like there was at least one other person on the face of the earth who understood exactly how I feel about honesty.

I felt so happy. Hard to explain, but if you have an open mind and open heart, read the book. I sometimes felt she was a bit too harsh on reality tv, but I would never have called her the b-word. That word is too harsh for me! Although, I’ve come to understand that the word bitch can have a very upbeat, positive polish put on it when you read Coffey’s spin on it.

I also like the fact that she understood creativity. I’ve a renewed appreciation for myself after reading this book. Books can inspire and that makes my heart sing too. As a writer and author, I cherish my God-given skills and talent.

It’s a beautiful day to be alive. It’s a beautiful day to be honest.
